Heard a couple rumors that the twp. unpaved roads were open to ATV use. Does anyone know if that is true? Will be going up Mem. Day wkd. and was just wondering.

Need to know what roads you are refering to? what chapter and township. If you are talking of Venango they will not be open until the signage from the state is received and the signs are put up. Until that time they will be closed to all ATV Traffic. when the roads do become open, all laws including the helmet law, speed limits and age requirements will be enforced by the State police.

State Law,

Helmets must be worn at all times

Speed limit of 25 MPH max, or as marked if lower

Decibel limit 99 State, club trails 96

Must be 16 years of age to travel on a road open to ATV Traffic along with having a drivers license

All ATV's must travel single file

Recommend having head lights on and must have a working brake light

There could be more restrictions depending on the municipality.

I was referring to the township unpaved roads in Potter County. I know several of the townships surrounding Ulysses Twp. have their roads open, but as of last year Ulysses Twp. did not. Is there a website that may have any of this info?
